Howland family papers, 1891-1930.

Genealogical material (2 v.), until 1920, on the Howland families of Dartmouth and New Bedford, Mass., and a brief history of the Howlands of England. Each volume was arranged differently and probably used to prepare a list of lineal descendants of Gideon Howland of Dartmouth, to distribute a trust fund established by Sylvia Ann Howland (1806-1865) after the death of Hetty Howland Robinson Green in 1916; together with two documents relating to the Sylvia Ann Howland trust used in probate court in 1917; and a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings (1914-1930) relating to the life of Hetty Howland Robinson Green and notes and lessons on freshman literature (1891).
